I do not know what type of fixing was used. There is no plan to remove them. I will see the surgeon for the final consultation at the end of Februarry 2011 and I will ask him what fixing he used. For your information, I had no feeling or pain in the left foot at the points where the fixings are, and on the right foot, it ached at both fixing points for about 14 days. There is no external visual indication of the fixings whatsoever.

Thanks for your comments. I am eagerly looking forward to getting the other foot done. I have a consultation with my Podiatric Surgeon at the end of September. Subject to all being well with the left foot, the plan is the right foot will be done in November this year.
I am very impressed with your results, it's great to see how well you are doing. Your scar is healing very well and it all looks great! Keep up the excellent rehab, and thank you for posting!

i liked your video and i wanted to get it done and more info..did you have screws put in and can they come out
